WHO IS KOJO KAY?

Kojo Kay is a first generation Canadian-American musician born in Brooklyn NY and raised in Vancouver BC who began releasing music in 2021 but stopped in 2022 to work on his artist development as he had a desire to create an undeniably unique and cutting-edge sound. Having roots from both Uganda and Ghana (yes, East and West Africa), Kojo is not new to blending regional or genre barriers as will be seen in his singles leading up to his upcoming debut independent mixtape TONEBOW. Through intricate, double, even frequently triple-meaning storytelling, and his lush layered self-produced soundscapes from the innovative world of TONEBOW, Kojo invites you into his mind as he reflects on his life, our culture and society, and the different roles we all play.
